Getting good feedback, a guide for clients

Andrew Fairlie tweeted to tell me that he’d open sourced his company’s ‘Getting Good Feedback’ document.

Inspired by @Malarkey’s Contract Killer, I’ve started a “Good Design Feedback” open source project https://t.co/zVe6WPTCyX

I love sharing design company documentation—that’s why we shared Contract Killer all those years ago—and a guide for clients on how to give designers feedback is a champion idea. I particularly like this paragraph from Andrew’s guide:

Everything we design is made to fit the agreed goals within the constraints of the project. Our job as your agency is to balance the project brief, the requirements of the people who will use it and your opinion.

I could’t agree more. I wish more designers would share their business documents like this. Check out Andrew’s Getting Good Feedback guide on GitHub.
