ECMOD Awards

I was pleased to learn yesterday that our work for WWF UK has won a Best Charity/Good Cause Related Catalogue Award.

NB: This article refers to a prior version of the WWF UK online store that I designed in 2004.

I was pleased to learn yesterday that our work has won the ECMOD 2004 (European Catalogue and Mail Order Days) Best Charity/Good Cause Related Catalogue Award for WWF UK.

The ECMOD Awards, now in their sixth year, are firmly established as the catalogue and home-shopping sector's most sought after accolade. With categories that reflect the diversity and dynamics of the market - and judging criteria that encompasses whole business performance rather that just the creative, winning an ECMOD award honours the entire team behind its success.

This award for the complete package of mail-order catalogue and e-commerce store was a real surprise. What is particularly pleasing is that this was awarded for reasons other than standards or accessibility. I hope that it shows that neither standards nor accessibility need to be issues, but can be simply a normal part of the mix.

Good to see you are getting rewarded for your hard work, and also that the WWF are getting extra publicity and reward for hiring you! I'm sure it's not every day you get a developer to develop you an award winning site.

I like the christmas idea, are you going to warm up those chaps on the bike at the top of the page, they are looking a little chilly.
