Puppy Love

Sing along guys...

All sing along guys...

And they call it ... Puppy Love ... etc.

We've been wanting a chocolate labrador puppy for a while now and got the good news today that a litter that we have been waiting for has just been born in a nearby village. One of these little puppies is hopefully coming to live with us some time in the new year. And we've decided to call him...

... Donny

(I'll post some pictures when I take 'em.)

Do you already have a dog? Are you ready for the chaos!? ;)

    @ John:

Nope, we have probably the world's most unsociable cat! We got her about five years ago from a rescue centre and her mother was a farm cat so she is very undomesticated. I'm not sure who is going to get the biggest shock, the cat or Donny!

You better watch out, Malarkey! You do know that household pets begin to take over blogs, don't you?

Jon, you can't compare cats to dogs. You don't own a cat; they own you. A dog, properly trained, won't cause that kind of problems. :)

We've got a cat. It's called Ziggy, and it's the most selfish creature that ever walked the earth. It farts a lot too. It knocks things over. It claws the spines of all my books (do you all remember books?). And it sits on my Powerbook when I'm working because it gets hot. basically, it's way too much trouble having a pet..

...but I love the little bugger.

Tommy: Yet still, dog-owners take their dogs for a walk two or three times a day. Who owns who? I do know what you mean about cats though.

Malarkey: Did anything inspire the name Donny?

@ dotjay: I just woke up one morning thinking about the puppy, that song came into my head (I know... worrying isn't it...) and I thought, let's call him Donny! His Dad (a fantastic chocolate lab) is called Woody and his Mom is called (Millie), so Donny seemed to fit pretty well.
