A more predictable release, designed to behave as expected.
Version 2.0 of Eleventy in a Box is now available. This update focuses on reducing variability rather than introducing new features. Previous versions offered a high degree of flexibility. While this allowed for a wide range of outcomes, it occasionally produced results that were difficult to explain, reproduce, or document. In isolated cases, the system appeared to make decisions independently.
Version 2.0 introduces a more consistent structure, with clearer defaults and fewer unexpected behaviours. The aim is not to limit flexibility, but to provide a more reliable starting point for projects of all sizes. Initial feedback indicates that users value predictability, particularly when working under time constraints. By prioritising stability, this release supports a more efficient and controlled workflow.
No additional configuration is required. The system will behave as intended.
