I’ve read other reviews of Transcending CSS that describe it as career-changing and that really was true in my case. I’ve spent the past four months reading anything and everything I can about CSS because the doors that Andy Clarke opens in Transcending CSS are just too cool to close.
Art Direction for the Web is amazing! With tons of clear examples the author let you understand what art direction is and why it’s so important for the web; he embraces the latest features of the browsers to explain how to craft layouts once thought impossibile.
Andy Clarke’s long-waited Hardboiled Web Design brings new ideas on website development. It’s packed with HTML5 and CSS3 but with a different take. A hardass approach using the latest, emerging technologies.
Read Art Direction for the Web non-stop. The history of art direction in part one is fascinating for anyone interested in the history of design. The sample layouts are inspiring and I loved trying out the CSS grid code to learn for myself how to build inspired layouts. This book is ace!
