Smashing Printed Magazine
It always baffled me that with a name like Smashing Magazine, my friends at Smashing hadn’t published a, errr, magazine. Well, now they have.
I knew about the Smashing Printed Magazine a few months ago because, following on from his incredible work on Art Direction for the Web, Smashing challenged my son Alex to work on design and typesetting for the printed magazine. You might think I’d be biased, but I’m also incredibly critical. Seeing this magazine’s design makes me incredibly proud.
This first issue is devoted to ethics, privacy, and security, with articles by Rachel Andrew, Cennydd Bowles, Heather Burns, Trine Falbe, Morten Rand-Hendriksen, Laura Kalbag, Stuart Langridge, and of course, Vitaly Friedman. It’s available now.
