The Web Standards Project’s work is done

I’d always admired the work of, and the people behind the Web Standards Project. What they had achieved in only a few short years in bringing browser vendors and tool authors together behind open standards was nothing short of magnificent, so when I was asked to join the project on March 31st 2005 it was an ambition fulfilled.

In all honesty, I contributed very little in the years that I was a member and I resigned a few years later, but I can be proud that the design I made for the Web Standards Project in 2006 — the design you see on the site today — has stood the test of time. It’s the design that will be archived now that the Web Standards Project’s work is done.
